NAC Save Our Youth Foundation, Inc. was established December 22, 2005 by members of the Norfolk (VA) Alumni Chapter, Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. as a volunteer charitable foundation. The Foundation is governed by an elected board of directors, and serves youth and adults primarily in Hampton Roads.
Since its establishment, the Foundation has provided more than $120,000 in scholarship and grants to area youths and adults.
Our goal is to make an impact in the community through our scholarships and grants, provide leadership through our focus on individual and community needs, and provide donors opportunities to achieve their charitable goals.
We are guided by the belief that every life has equal value, and we work to help youth to achieve and be successful in school and life. We seek to ensure that the individual with the least resources have access to opportunities they need to succeed in school and life.
As a volunteer charitable organization, we maximize your donations and contribution because we do not have a salaried staff. We are committed to providing the maximum impact with the resources you provide. In specific terms, we strive to:
- Help people, especially youth, achieve their goals and succeed in school and life.
- Serve as stewards of donor's philanthropic contributions.
- Carry out donor charitable goals and wishes.
- Offer regional leadership on important issues facing our community.
- Increase the size of gifts over time through quality and effective investments.
- Honor our donor's intent.
- Provide quality programs and events to increase the Foundation's assets.
We welcome gifts of all sizes to existing funds. Yours gifts can help youth right here in Hampton Roads to attend college with help from scholarships. Your gifts will also help provides grants for education, arts, or other areas of concern.
